Blogging to Success
I hope you can all read our about page to understand why this blog was started. This is the first of a weekly series that will take a look at exactly what we have done on the site based on the articles that we have written on this blog. My aim is to walk the talk. Why write about things that you are not doing and how can you even know as a blog owner that what you are writing about actually works?
I wrote an article this week that we hope is the first step for anyone trying to start up a blog. We asked why does your business exist ? As you can see this blog did not start this week. I bought the domain name sometime back this year when I was toying with the idea of this site. As luck would have it, I had to have a few job related issues to wake me up to the fact that I really hate working for other people. I am hoping readers also have that feeling everyday (just kidding).
So this was my answer
" if my blog did not exist, the world would be worse of because you would never know how to make it online blogging"
Yes it’s that vain and simple and for me, that is a great motivator. Don’t be surprised if i don’t write about the most popular blog issues or have a different view from yours. But I am very sure you will want to know if this project is working and so will I .
Before I had talked about creating your business model, this is what I had as a business model for my way to success.
1. Identify the personal or business attributes you may have
That was the easy part. I like starting new things, very fast learner, like testing new ideas, love reading (books ,papers, blogs etc) , love writing and the most important part, I just love tracking what I have done either to stop doing it anymore or improving on it. So a blog about how I succeeded or failed in blogging would be excellent.
2. What is your target audience ?
Anyone who is interested in doing this online thing. It is aimed at anyone who is starting a blog about anything .
3. With your target audience, what are the products in demand?
My problem was very simple. I saw so many sites about making money online but very few or none that showed exactly what steps had been made. I also did not wish to start a make money online blog. I have other interests that I have and want to blog about but how and when do I implement everything I am learning. I had to create a prototype and this is a web development prototype for all those that are looking for the exact steps that are taken.
4.What is your Competitive Advantage ?
My advantage is my secret and that is something I will not be sharing here , but you might have an idea. I really cannot share my competitive advantage otherwise it won’t be an advantage will it?
So I have already done the main thing that each and every start up project should do before one even thinks about starting a project. Over the weekend I will tell you the exact technical tools I have applied to set up the site. Then we can move on to the next stage.
