So you have now set up your Joomla site to run as a Joomla Blog. However, you still have to do more modifications to have the essential blogging tools in Joomla. How would you modify Joomla into a blog ? Your solutions will greatly depend on if you are running Joomla 1.5.x the new version or the older 1.0.x Joomla series.

I prefer to stick with Joomla 1.0.x for sites I need set up in a hurry as the components are well tested .However, for sites that will not be up soon, you can use Joomla 1.5.x and learn more about Joomla the hard way.

It is essential to create comments in your blog if you are going to succeed online. If you wish to create effective blog comments , you need to give your Joomla visitors a good Joomla Commenting Tool.It is obvious that the commenting is a big drawback in Joomla and you will need a Joomla comments component in order to make your Joomla site a Blog.

Using Joomla As A Blog

One way to find financial sucess online is to decided on what cms blog platform you are going to use for your online business. Trying to decide between Joomla vs WordPress was rather difficult as both cms blogs have their own attributes.

The biggest issue I had with Joomla was that turning Joomla into a blog needed some work while WordPress was an out of the box blogging solution.Trying to find anything from mambo user guides or Joomla user guides was not helping. However as part of the reason why my business exists, I decided Joomla was more conducive to growing my Internet business over the long run.

I do not wish to blog forever and neither do I wish to have to create domains and sub domains to deal with new scripts that I can not automatically add to my blog. Joomla as a content management system is just perfect for adding new functions to your web site .
