Create Your Own Google
After the recent issues with google pagerank dropping for some famous websites like problogger and John Chow, I have decided to go another route in the long run with my own blog. I read alternate theory for Google Page Rank and though I know very little about seo marketing I have to agree that some of the points that Courtneytuttle has seem valid .
However I am of the mindset of by allowing someone else to dictate how you will be a success in life, you are still working for someone else and in the long run, it makes no sense at all. I do believe that blogging is like any other business and one should never rely on only one source of income especially with this willy nillly drop or raise in page rank that is making many a webmaster go nuts.
Mywaytosucess is not even ranked as I have not put any effort in it , however I am don’t believe one should work very hard to update and make their websites one of the best then get whacked by another company who’s policies no one seem to be able to understand. The reason I decided to start blogging was so that I could be able to be the master of everything that I do and also be able to prove to myself that I am self reliant .However from all the complaints I can see on the net about google page rank updates or lack of, I think that most are not getting the point. When google started, they made a point from day one to avoid yahoo if they could. So why not follow their business model? I am not going to fall into the google trap . As little as I know about this online business, I think I can safely say that going the google page rank, google adsence way ,will not work for me in the long run.
So I will switch to the following areas and stick to them
1. Give article writing services.
The purpose of this blog will be to build relationships with other online business and offer them my services as an article writer. I wished to add website development but I really don’t think I am yet to be up to date with that. I cannot even redesign my template yet to what I want it to look like.One of my goals in life might be to rank highly with google but it really is not my purpose in life. My purpose in life is something for me to know and getting ranked highly by google though is one of my goals ,does not even list in my top 10 goals. I want to make money online and that’s it. If I find that using google is not working for me in the long run, then I will change tack and listen to people like copyblogger and Johnchow to increase other income sources.
2. Start affiliate marketing
I have seen so many people do well in affiliate marketing and I don’t see why I should not do the same. My aim is to see that I am making a consistent income from affiliate marketing. I know this is normally the hardest part of making online income and having online success ,however I have seen that the rewards of affiliate marketing are more than any pay per click advertising online.As they say, the more difficult a job, the more you earn from it. The caveat being that one must enjoy the job.
3. Websites are Property.
One of the best ways to make money in real estate is be like Donald Trump. Somehow Trump manages to run down his companies and the next thing you know he still rides in helicopter. The secret is using other people’s money. So he goes to his investors, gives them another one of his brilliant ,excellent Donald Trump ideas .The investors fork out the cash and he makes more. Now google uses the same idea. Though in their case it’s other people’s property. Your website is being hired by google for free to sell their advertising. The little space on my side bar that I have placed adsence is being used by google for free to send my readers to my competitors and google gets paid for that. Why not just use the space myself for other things that will make me money. I don’t know what they are yet but I am working on them.
So let’s get over this relying on other people’s business to succeed and get our own working business enterprises. One may be surprised to find that they are doing even better than they had thought they could.
