Get Rich or Die Whining

I am going to join the cry baby blogger as a sign that what they do really works. It is just amazing to see how bloggers switch from hating google one day then another bunch of bloggers say how the love it the next. Since there is no Google pagerank update so far( as if it matters) some bloggers have now adopted the ” I hate some one else for succeeding “ ,model.

It’s a simple model really. You find a heavily trafficked blog. You find something you don’t like about it. Then you just post a “That blog is useless” post. You sit down wait for the traffic, then sell your own piece of crap with big signs that says, ” I am the only one who can show you how to make money online”. It is a good one I must say but it just smells rotten to me. However, I will do it with pleasure if it gets me more rss subscribers.

1. Paid Links or No Paid Links.

This has become a hot topic but today Courtneytuttle took it to another level. He got so bitter he actually posted a site that sells links. It reminded me of a kid who has been told by daddy (Google) not to do something. To seek attention, he goes around telling everyone that he’s following daddy’s rules. When he finds out daddy is too tired to notice, he wakes up daddy and sells out his brother. That is just pathetic to say the least.

I really don’t know much about this link thing. Everyone has their own opinion about them. I have mine. If you are a blogger trying to make money online, I believe any method to feed your kids is a good method. I doubt if Google will ever give you a little cash for being the nice no follow blogger.

If you believe Google is your Daddy, then don’t sell paid links. However whining about others who are doing it and succeeding is a bit childish.

2. The John Chow Syndrome

Blogger Unleashed made his beef attacking John Chow for showing us what he’s eating for dinner. I don’t fancy those food pictures but someone does ! John Chow has more traffic than I do, so he must be doing something better than I am.

Since John Chow hating is now out of fashion, he is now going for anyone who is not doing that bans thing. I suppose he’s going to hate me too since I don’t like the idea of having 100 web sites. I don’t even have time for this one. He is now attacking the nice ,gracious and hard working lady Caroline Middlebrook. Why, I don’t really get it. The issue is her selling an e-book and may or may not know him.

I guess the guy wants us all to join bans get him a commission and everybody goes to heaven the next day. His latest videos are shoemoney etc. I like his videos, I visit a lot. However, his hate of anything not related to bans, is a bit over the top. Name calling is not a healthy way to live. For goodness sake, kids are looking at a grown man calling someone a b—-h and we expect the war to end in Iraq?

He might as well rename his blog, I make money online by abusing other people who are not in bans.

3. Pay Per Posties

Here is where you find the meaning of elitism. It’s a whole new case of Obama vs Clinton, who is more elitist. We have on one side Techcrunch and his band of “I am a professional blogger ” vs Izea ” I need to pay my bills today.”

Somehow techcrunch has decided to call any one earning online from paid posting a mommy blogger. Yet they sell their own posts. Of course he claims that his own paid posts are kosher. That’s the kind of arrogance I do not admire. This is the moral behind the story.

Two people are caught by their wives visiting prostitutes. One man confesses and makes an effort to change his ways by starting social sparks. The other, castigates posties by saying ” I went to a prostitute, but at least I used a condom.”

Let the mommy bloggers earn a living . Just because they are not professional in your eyes, doesn’t mean they are dummies. They are feeding their kids and that’s what matters.

My view of this Internet stuff has changed a lot in the past 2 months. I don’t listen to anyone anymore. I have a goal everyday, to make money for my kids. I really don’t care much about Google page ranks, slaps etc. I don’t care much about how I do it. Shoemoney is the best example, he’s been abused all over. Yet his pay checks are more than enough for me. That’s my model to follow.

Feed your kids and damn these online haters.

Good post!

Many of the bloggers you’ve identified (and their associated products) I’d classify “pretty lame”.

Sticking to focusing on your personal success and putting on blinders to all the noise is a great strategy i think.

@whydowork . After some time it all gets tiring. I discovered I had one site I had not posted on for 3 months and it was making me money. So I decided to look at the bottom line…Where’s money at?

I have decided to do what ever is bringing food to my kids not seo tactics etc. I will post about what I like when I like and how I like. If I feel happy,I will post happy. Damn the keywords. If I feel I need to pay off a credit card bill, I will Izea until I lose all the subscribers. lol
