Some Blogging Advice is Good
After blogging myself to poverty, I was very impressed with the comments that I got from the post. I really would recommend that you all read the comments even if the article bores you do death and visit the web sites from those that commented. Thanks to all that commented and yes I am going to follow through with the recommendations.
I am addicted to testing an idea before I embrace it and though that takes time, it is the best thing that one can do to be successful in any business. These are the ideas that I am going to test and the reasons why.
1. Blog when I wish To
I have read all those blog 5 times a day ideas and I have to say, that does not work for me. I am currently setting up my Joomla based web sites and have a full time job and a family so telling me to post 5 times a day or a week etc is really not realistic to me. It might be a goal but on this day that I am writing this, it is not realistic.
So I will follow Caroline Middlebrook’s idea on the secret to successful blogging. I really will blog when I feel like and so far so good.
2. Linking Back
Lazy Man was rather harsh. I mean please do feel something for me will you ? I really loved the blogroll idea. So I have started to look for links on my blogroll. It is actually an idea I had never thought of.
If you wish to add your blog to my blog roll please feel free to contact me at admin (at) mywaytosucess (dot) com or reply here. As for being given 1 million dollars by someone, let a brother hope please.
3. Commenting on other blogs
It is funny how sometimes we do not follow our own ideas. I did write about commenting on other blogs and somehow after my holiday I forgot how to do that. So I have decided to join Static Thinkbox in his commentators project
Other than that I have also added the fabulous top commentator plugin .Please feel free to comment more often now.
4. Change Monetizing on the Blog
I had earlier said I would get rid of Adsense on the blog but I just can not stop testing ideas. I know it works rather well in one of my blogs so I decided to test it here. My word of advice, Adsense on a blog like this one does not work. After 1 and half months I got 30cts on my other niche blog I got over $400. So I am slowly changing to other forms of advertising.
Please advertise on my blog, heck it’s only 10 ct’s a day. My view is if I make 10cts in one month, it will be more than Adsense.
I will test this for 3 months to see how it works. If you have any other ideas, please feel free to tell me.
5. Provide Services
Now that I can do. Thanks Brian and I just love your WordPress design. I am currently reading on how to set up WordPress designs. I am planning on changing the design here however long it takes me. Actually no longer than 2 months.
I am also very good with Joomla and will start advertising my services too.
To keep me from watching American Idol , I will be joining piggybankpie’s to start guest blogging. I think it would be fun to write as I get more visitors. What do you think?
Now if I don’t kill myself with work at least I will get rid of depression. It is so interesting to try making a million dollars blogging and one of the best things is that you can actually get support from other bloggers and blog yourself out of poverty.

I’m sorry if I was harsh. I didn’t realize the post was tongue-in-cheek. It’s hard to express that on the Internet.
I really thought that you were frustrated about not being a million dollar blogger despite not doing the things that million dollar bloggers do.
That’s not to say that you have to do them. There are exceptions. I recommend this excellent article about building value for your readers.
I also have written a post that would have helped me when I was struggling. Perhaps this advice will help you. (Feel free to delete that link from this comment, I’m not trying to promote my own site here, just pass on advice).
Lazy Man and Money’s last blog post..Festival of Frugality – #112
Hi Lazy Man,
Oh no, I am not complaining. I loved it !
If the promotion is worth it, it is welcome. We are all here to learn. Now come to think about it, I have to change my “proffession” .I had forgotten it was in the to do list.
Thanks mate.
You may have been “tongue in cheek” but I’ve heard others express similar sentiments seriously. Plus your post helped me flesh out an idea for a post of my own and do some internal link building.
Frank C’s last blog post..Someone Please Tell Me the Secret
Thanks for the promotion/ linkback! I’ll be doing a follow up to my Project Comment5 before too long, but I can’t see how doing 25 comments a week wouldn’t help.
I’m excited to see your results as well. Again, thanks for stopping by my site and joining my project. Good luck to us both.
I sympathise with the “blog when I wish to” point. I run a very busy management consultancy and express my passion through the goals website.I don’t get time to post each day – well I do- but then my family would never see me!
I also struggle to find the mental space to create genuine original posts each and every day. HOWEVER , I rather try to interview other people – some high profile – some not – on how they achieve their goals- giving my blog readers many insights on how leading thinkers are doing achieving their goals.
This way – every now and then these interviews spark a new thought which I use to create content and republish off line- something many online people these days forget – off line is still powerful!
