Top 6 Reasons why this Blog will Fail

I have been going through some of the reasons why I still have very little traffic after having started this blog 1 month ago and I think it’s very clear as to the reasons why this is happening.

It’s funny how a few minutes reading your own blog can open up your eyes to things that you might need to do on your way to sucess.

1. Writer’s Block

That is what the technically savvy probloggers call it. I call it ” I really don’t know what to write about today” . I had the idea yesterday when I was driving home from work but right now , I really can’t remember what that great idea was.

So now I have decided to always have a pen and my notebook at hand to write down my ideas. I hear that’s what some of the best scientists do anyway.

2. Procrastination

By no means is that a blogging online issue. I procrastinate even in my usual life. I remember I even procrastinated about the first girl I ever wanted and look at her now, married to another guy who I really don’t like.

The cure for procrastination here is just start writing as I have with this particular post.

3. No Blogging Plan

Once in a while, I get an epiphany and I am all down to blogging here and on my other blogs. Then all of a sudden I will use whatever reason or excuse I can get to avoid blogging or posting online . So you will find a post one day, then another post 10 days later. Why would anyone want to come and view my blog if I do not even post on it?

So now I have a set schedule. I post a day if it kills me for each of my blogs. I only have 2 so I don’t think I will die of fatigue if I kept at it.

4. My blog design is awful

Really even I don’t like it. But I’m putting that on the “don’t know how to design section” . I probably wouldn’t read it either the way it looks now.

However this is also a good thing as part of my way to success is to learn how to design my own site and if I can’t do that ,probably learn how to delegate work that I can’t do. See at least one positive today.

5. I have no Web Traffic

Well is it the chicken or the egg ? Do I post more to get more traffic or go comment on other people’s sites to get more traffic? Or do I do them both ? What if someone comes here when there are only 5 posts and never returns? Will I loose them forever as readers?

It’s simple , I will do both. I will continue posting and at the same time look for traffic. After all being listed in google is the first thing that this site needs to do and so far, not too good , but watch this space in the next 2 months.

6. Everyone Tells Me I will Fail

My friends keep on telling me that I am crazy thinking I could ever do this for a living. My spouse is not helping either. I have now come to know that the most negative people when you are trying to succeed online are your friends.

So now I am keeping away from them and not telling them what I am doing until I bring in the first paycheck. In the meantime I will continue making new online friends (as long as they don’t ask to meet me) . After all , you can only succeed with people with the same mindset and sell your ideas to people who don’t know after you have succeeded.

I have to say that this journey to success will be fun. I am already getting more and more motivated to do well and I have every intention to . So in the meantime, lets continue meeting here everyday.
